Meet Our Guests on This Episode

Den A. Trumbull, MD, FCP, is board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American College of Pediatricians. Dr. Trumbull was born and raised in Panama City, Florida. He received his bachelor of science degree in chemistry at the University of Florida and then attended the University of Miami School of Medicine for his medical degree. After serving in the U.S. Air Force as a pediatrician for four years, Dr. Trumbull joined Drs. Glover and Morrison in private practice in Montgomery, Alabama in 1988. He and his wife Nancy have five children (four daughters and a son) and two grandchildren. Dr. Trumbull has a special interest in behavioral pediatrics and has written and spoken nationally on the topic of parenting. He is the author of the parenting book, Loving by Leading: A Parent’s Guide to Raising Healthy and Responsible Children, in which he encourages parents to lead their children to healthy living and character development. Dr. Trumbull is also creator of the research-based parenting website GoodParent.org.

Mike Chupp, MD, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a pre-medical degree in chemistry from Taylor University in 1984, and then he graduated as an AOA scholar with his medical degree from Indiana University in 1988. He completed a five-year general surgery residency at Methodist Hospital in 1993. From 1993 to 2016, Mike fit in nearly seven years of private general surgery practice as a missionary member of the Surgical Department of Southwestern Medical Clinic and Lakeland Regional Health System in St. Joseph, Michigan. Mike has been married to Pam for 28 years and they have four children: Steven, Melody, Kayla and Ashley. They recently completed 20 years of service as career missionaries with World Gospel Mission, serving at Tenwek Mission Hospital in Kenya. Mike wore several different leadership hats in Kenya including serving several years as the Assistant Country Director for WGM Kenya during the latter part of his missionary career. In 2016, Mike joined the executive leadership team at CMDA, serving as Executive Vice President. On September 1, 2019, Dr. Chupp will become CMDA’s new Chief Executive Officer.
