Meet Our Guests on This Episode

Dr. Tim Elmore is a bestselling author and a world-renowned expert on Generation Y and Generation Z. As CEO of Growing Leaders, a global non-profit organization created to develop emerging leaders, he and his team equip schools to empower students with real-life leadership skills. Tim’s expertise on the emerging generation has led to media coverage in The Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes.com, USA Today and The Washington Post. He has also appeared on CNN’s Headline News and Fox and Friends to discuss leading Millennials and Generation Z. His website is growingleaders.com.

Steve Manning, MD, grew up in Williamston, North Carolina and graduated from East Carolina University in 2002. He graduated from Brody School of Medicine at ECU in 2008, followed by a family medicine residency also at the Brody School of Medicine and Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Manning made the choice to return home to practice medicine, where he could care for the community he loved and build his family. He was the founding physician of a brand new hospital-owned practice, Martin Family Medicine, in Williamston. After three years of employment, and feeling the strain of an insurance-based practice, Dr. Manning made the jump to Direct Primary Care by starting an independent family medicine practice called AccessMedicine, where he is offering better access, longer visits and a more comprehensive approach to patient care. Patients receive all of their primary care needs through a low monthly membership to the practice. Find out more information about his practice at www.accessmedicine.md. Dr. Manning also serves as Medical Director for Urgent Care Down East in Washington. He currently serves as Interim Chief of Staff at Martin General Hospital and remains an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at ECU.
