Mark Gregston

Mark Gregston has spent his entire adult life working with teens and parents in an effort to offer help and hope to any situation a  family might find themselves in. He spent years working with Young Life, was a pastor for several years and also lived at a Christian  sports camp where he developed a home for struggling teens. In 1989, Mark and his wife Jan founded Heartlight Ministries, a  residential counseling center for teens. Through the years, Mark has lived with more than 2,500 teens, spending countless hours  helping, talking and connecting with teens while developing materials to help families help their children through the teen years. From his 38 years of experience of working with teens and their families, Mark shares his insight and wisdom through books, seminars, retreats and the Parenting Today’s Teens radio program. Katherine Welch, MD

Katherine Welch, MD, is an American board certified pediatrician who has been living in Asia doing cross-cultural healthcare for more than 10 years. She is currently based in China where she teaches clinical and didactic pediatric medicine to Chinese physicians as  a faculty member of a family medicine training program. She also travels throughout China and other Asian countries as a health  consultant to counter-trafficking organizations, helping to support and develop more robust healthcare systems in their preventive, outreach and aftercare efforts. Katherine served as a member of the International Organization for Migration/UNGIFT expert panel on  health. She is the medical director of Global Health Promise and a board member of Doctors at War, both of which are organizations  that address health consequences of trafficking in persons.
