Meet Our Guests on This Episode

Dr. Eli Horn is a family medicine physician practicing in Kenya. He trained at the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University and the University of Minnesota – Duluth Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Horn served at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet, Kenya for two years, and he is now serving with his family at PCEA Chogoria Hospital, Kenya. Besides filling multiple roles throughout the hospital, he is clinical faculty for Kabarak University’s Department of Family Medicine where he works to train Christian physicians to make a difference in their own communities across East Africa. Eli and his wife Krista have three boys and serve as missionaries with World Gospel Mission.

Dr. John Chuck is a board certified family practice physician from Sacramento, California. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences from University of California at Berkeley in 1982, and he received his medical degree from University of California at Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine in 1986. He completed his residency and internship in family medicine at UC David Medical Center in 1989. He is employed by The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG), and he is currently Chief of Health Promotion at TPMG’s North Sacramento Valley Clinic. He is also a chairperson on TPMG’s Regional Physician Health & Wellness Leaders Group and helps craft strategic direction for physician health and wellness goals. He is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Serotonin Surge Charities, a non-profit organization that raises funds for safety net medical clinics, breast cancer research and scholarship funds. His purpose in life is to love God and love people by creating programs and products to help others.
